Dorking Wanderers Football Club was founded in just 1999 with jumpers for goal posts. They first played in the Crawley and District League and since that time have won 9 promotions. As we write they currently sit top of Ryman League Division One South, just three promotions away from professional football. This is such a great achievement for such a young club.
Wanderers are popular amongst their peers and fellow football clubs. They are a true community project built by local people who have enjoyed unprecedented success through sheer hard work and devotion.
Next season the club move to a brand new purpose-built stadium at Meadowbank, Dorking. The ground they will share with Dorking FC whom they formed a historic development alliance with earlier this year. Both Dorking Wanderers and Dorking FC have the local authority Mole Valley District Council to thank for sharing the vision of bringing back to life a thriving town centre football stadium.
We know Marc White and the team both on and off the pitch have worked so hard and overcome many hurdles over the years.
